It was a cool but, muggy night when I saw the clouds begin to roll through. I grabbed my camera and marched right down to Cherry Beach because I knew I had the chance to catch a really special shot. It’s kind of incredible that in the middle of one of the largest cities […]
Sometimes you get some cool shots where you least suspect them. I processed this photo with analog effects pro and other than some weird effects around the street light i think this is a really cool shot. I don’t have a lot to say about this shot other than I like it, and you should […]
Strange Toronto Landscapes So this was kind of an interesting place. At night it was a real strange mix of colors, the purple sky reflecting the city lights. These blue metal sheets clashing with the yellow and green in the background. Actually, it was pretty cool looking. I split toned this image before running […]
The Don River It was so unbearably humid this night, but I decided to go down to the river anyway and see if there were any interesting things. There were a few homeless guys camped out along the riverside but it wasn’t too bad at all. It’s crazy to me that the water came out […]
A Tree With A View Of The Tower It’s lonely but this tree has a nice view of the tower. There aren’t a lot of good lookouts for the Toronto skyline but there are some interesting places that still haven’t been shot. What else can you expect, the waterfront is straight and there are […]
Basketballers Play Basketballs Walking past this game of basketball late at night I noticed these pillars created an interesting frame. So, I got my gear set up as fast as I could. Then I guessed my settings because I wanted this exact sort of exposure. I hit the shutter and my test shot was […]
Long Nights “If you guys don’t finish soon, I’m going home and you’re going to have to stop traffic all by yourselves!” Is what I imagine he’s saying over his shoulder.
Anyplace Yes, for anyone who is very familiar with Toronto they might immediately recognise where this photo is and where it was taken. But, by ignoring well-known landmarks, Toronto begins to look like anyplace with a waterfront. Lights, Condos, and people wandering the streets on warm summer evenings.
Queen Streetcar in the Rain This isn’t a technically good shot but I like the frame with the Queen Streetcar racing through the rain. It’s dark and the weather was bad, it was raining something awful that night. Also, it was dark and handheld so my settings were a little crazy. f/3.5 ISO:1000 1/20″
Brookfield Place Toronto So this night I decided to cut through a building and ran across Brookfield Place by total accident. It looks kind of cool during the day, but I think it becomes really special at night.
